Baptism - The Body of Christ
At the point of baptism, our bodies are written into the larger social body. This formation of the individual body through the social body is alluded to in Romans 12 verse 1. It's one of the chief reasons why Christian obedience should be properly understood as sacrificial. Baptism manifests and initiates a reorientation of the body and its members. We make a mockery of our release if we carry on living our old way of life.
