The Role of Religion in Fertility
I think there's a tight causal relationship with religion for their high fertility. But I don't know that that applies to Israelis in general who also have higher than normal fertility. My hunches is that concepts like nationalism, national cohesiveness probably has more to do with the higher than replacement level fertility rates in Israel rather than any sort of biblical commandments.
