The poem is very explicit about the bond between human kind and nature. The mariner has a way of making sense of that, you know, that is through this kind of struck of atonement. It's partly about how we try to make sense of of suffering in the world. This is something that gives us to day in the 20 first century, where where the seas ar, the life of the seas is, are under threat because of human intervention.
