Winthrop's Life and Work
Some historians have seen winthrop as a kind of magus ri. The sort of wise man who knows the hidden structures and secrets of the universes. That seems to be the kind of person that winthrop really strove to be, and how some people perceived him. He had an exceptionally fine, three and a half foot long telescope through which he made very close observations. And ultimately, when war breaks out between indian confederation and new england, he serves as a director of the united colonies.
