The Early Stages of a Tenant Union

"We can share our stories, we can share our pain and we can tell them, hey, we need the law to change. We can pass something," she says. "The next biggest step was us coming in front of the, um, of the Santa Barbara County supervisors, board of supervisors and telling our stories." The tenants union learned that if they could convince a county Board of Supervisors it would be possible to stop future residents from being affected by course spaces' problems.
