The Importance of Hiking Not on Trails in Relationships

Hiking has always been an opportunity to clear my head and get lost in my thoughts. There's something really humbling about hiking for several days in a row, not on trail. The Aquarius Valley is one of the most insanely aquamarine, mirror-clear alpine lakes that I've ever seen in my entire life. And so we hiked up into the Aragetch peaks and there are these huge granite fins that look like something out of Lord of the Rings. It looks like you're carrying the ring to Mordor or something.
