The Evolution of Candida Oris

There are five different strains of Candida Oris that have wildly different outcomes on human beings. The fungus emerged in a big way around 2016, when CDC first started issuing warnings to those in the healthcare facilities about it. It was intended to infect people who had compromised immune systems and long-term hospital stays. Some were really antibiotic resistant; some had more resistances against antifungals than others.
