Prince Hat Underground
I love the original fairy tale East of the Sun, West of the Moon too much to go near it directly. Prince hat Underground was my way of approach to something that I love too much to tamper with. It's a story where somebody goes from place to place looking for help. They get help from very weird personages. But because it is a pique or ask and it is a very loose structure, I had to make sure that the people that my main character Gary encounters were entertaining or strange enough to keep the readers in trust. There are lots of ways to use those experiences in real life so when I reproduce them by using them in this sort of grotesquely-grotesque
