This piece is a response to a review by ruth franklin in sleet in may of two thousand and seven. And she wrote the book she was reviewing, michael chabon has spent considerable energy trying to drag the decaying corpse of jean refiction out of the shallow grave where writers hav serious literature abandoned it.
