Introduction
For most of the past century Pontifrat castle has served a domestic function. Recently though, like castles all across the kingdom, it's been called upon to serve a very different purpose. Since the king's recent capture most castles have fallen into parliamentarian hands. This one was taken over by Oliver Cromwell's forces.
