What is it about the indigenous people in New Zealand that makes them prone? Is it, again, do they eat a lot of appearance or do they have some genetic issues with urate excretion that may make them more susceptible? I don't think it's clearly known. There's certainly some differences in urate-acid excretion through the kidneys which have been well documented for many years. And we certainly need doing some work to try and understand that.
