The Importance of Abraham's Marriage to Isaac
The binding of Isaac is an important theological landmark in both Christianity and Islam. Christians see it as prefiguring God's sacrifice of his own son Jesus. Muslims remember the binding each year at Eid al-Adah, the feast of the sacrifice. Abraham offhandedly remarries and has another six sons.
