Do You Think It Would Have Been Possible for a Human to Exist Without Watches and Clocks?

Do you think it would have ever been possible for a human civilization or society to exist, which doesn't have at least some form of end? That's a fascinating question. It's not something I know much about, but if one thinks about, say, a medieval rural agrarian civilization with assuming the inhabitants of the civilization are hearing Christian scriptures. They live in an environment where they're very survival, deeply defined by the seasons. And so has a much different relationship to time than would emerge in the modern era.
