The British Blockade of Taiwan
The French didn't have enough ships to carry out a complete blockade. So the major ports were blockaded, but there were smaller ports along the western coast. The British tried hard to maintain neutrality in this undeclared war. But things can get messy. For example, private British ships were chartered by Chinese and then these were seized by the French.
