The Importance of Living in the Green Zone
"I never considered myself having gone to Iraq or live in Iraq for six months. I went to the green zone and I really didn't, I mean I saw the ramifications of the occupation," he says. "So every day you had to get out and move through these seven different checkpoints by the time you got to the office of the prime minister." He was able to leave two times but only if someone with a DoD badge accompanied him.
