Some of the Savior's most memorable teachings were in the form of simple stories called parables. They contained profound truths about the Kingdom of God for those who are spiritually prepared. The word parable comes in the Greek word parabole, which can also be translated as where we get the English word parabola. Some New Testament scholars have suggested different theories to explain how powerful parables function by extension.

How can riches deceive us? Dr. Daniel Becerra explores the Parable of the Wheat and Tares and examines the themes of the Kingdom of Heaven in Luke and Matthew. Dr. Becerra also examines the role of Jesus’s family and women in his discipleship.
