CNN's John Sutter says he doesn't like anything government does, but this isn't even close to the worst. He points out that most of our fruits are being grown in equatorial countries and imported. The food pyramid has been a big problem for poor people because they can't afford their servings. But there is no perfect answer; if you want to do this sort of thing, go for it at the state level,. So you have 50 experiments. Don't do it at the federal level.
