The Positives of Regulation of the Technology Industry

On Tuesday, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, went to the Senate along with a woman who heads up privacy at IBM and an academic. They were like, you know what? Artificial intelligence is good, but it's also very dangerous. Please, we need regulation. Emily: Is there any reason to hope or believe that congressional or government regulation of the technology industry could or should be actually useful and a good idea somehow?Emily: On the positive side, right? Like Congress is just not very good at regulating tech. It's just a little bit dysfunctional and getting anything done.
