Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg lost his husband to cancer last year. He returned to work after a Shiva period, but only in the hours his children were at school. Facebook employees are able to take as much time off as they need for personal hardship. But when people come back to work "if they contribute well, that was a great contribution," he says.
