GP Medical Records

At the moment, patients can request access to their historical medical record. For a lot of patients in England, this is going to be the default where you will be able to see notes made by healthcare staff when you have an appointment with the GP or practice nurse. The studies that have been done in places where access to health records is already happening suggest that people feel more confident and prepared to manage their own health. They're better at taking their medications as prescribed. And it all fits with this overarching plan, I guess, from the health system that helping people feel more able to manage and be in control of their health is good for people.
