The Origins of Monsters

A lot of my students identify with the monsters. They're like, I'm an outsider, just like, you know, Frankenstein's monsters. Well, I definitely felt a kind of, I was definitely drawn to monsters that were a person turned into something. Or Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde was kind of more interesting than me. But for sure, I mean, I, yeah, and then it was all those universal monster things I started getting into that. So Godzilla made sense. And I was interested in gorillas, which are kind of monstrous in a way. The word monster comes from the Latin word. Here we go.
