Research finds that on average women take longer to reach orgasm than men and this is an often cited contributor to the orgasm gap. When you look at time to orgasm during partnered versus solo activities we see that women and men are actually orgasming at similar speeds during masturbation so it's really only during partnered sex that we see that big gap in orgasm duration. So much sex advice comes down to spend a lot more time on foreplay during sex because it takes women longer to orgasm but women don't have to take longer to reached orgasm.
