Lorraine Wilson and Wendy Evans were murdered at Murphy's Creek in 1974. Their killers went unpunished, but many people knew something was wrong. In 2003, their brother Eric wrote a book about the case titled The Echo of Silent Screams. It sparked renewed interest in the case putting pressure on the Queensland Police Commissioner to reopen the investigation. Detective Inspector Kerry Johnson re-interviewed all of the key witnesses and persons of interest for the first time. He pieced together the known information and tried to fill in any gaps. Lorry allegedly told a friend while sick in hospital years later, 'We killed the nurses. I was there. I didn't do it'
