The Value of Knowing Your Code Is Running in a Browser

I'm kind of against the idea of coupling like strongly coupling the front end and the back end together. I just think that it's a bit scary to me in it. It gets rid of this sort of clear separation between front end and back end. And there is a value in the simplicity of knowing this is code I'm writing that is running in the browser.
