The perpetrator needs to say they're sorry and be sorry. Also, the victim needs to not have any self-blame. And once again, how do you practice forgiveness? It's so easy to say, well just forgive them. Well, no. But you have to understand how to forgive. Is you examine the intention, intention of the person who has betrayed you. There is a sense of loss. You also need to understand that there is a purpose for the betrayal. That is the intention of the betrayal.
