Crowd Source Field Recordings Are a Great Resource

A great resource is a lot of the crowd source field recordings, because so many, so many microphones get put into use. A really good record us with a really cheap recorder could probably outperform a really bad record us with $10,000 microphone. Some people who've been doing this for 30 years and some people who are just starting out when we did this my home crowd source. The greatest email I got was from a guy who was like 76 years old, wrote me and said, I've never recorded anything in my life, but this project has inspired me to go buy a recorder and try to record.
