After a contentious 2020 census, the development of advanced mapping technologies, and a 2019 Supreme Court decision that put partisan gerrymandering outside the scope of federal courts, voting rights advocates contend that racial gerrymandering is rampant—in the south and beyond. In this episode, Laura speaks with redistricting experts from Colorado, Michigan, Texas, and New York who are working to ensure that minority voters have a seat at the table.
