The Discourse in California

California is an amazing country, it has a similar economic productivity as the whole of Germany while having only half as many people. And at the same time most people are so poor. The standard of living, all these Tyvek boxes that people have to live in. This US does not plan ahead for the future and that's a very weird and terrifying situation. I don't really doubt that the US is going to reinvent itself but it might take some time like a generation or so.
