Four black men entered junior high school 117 in the Clinton Hills section of Brooklyn. When principal John O'Connor arrived, they called them a honky and pushed him. Acting assistant principal George Elias stepped in but was also pushed. One secretary who witnessed the fight called it a wild western brawl with fists flying everywhere. Some parent and community representatives seemed to condone the violence.
