The Importance of System Planning in Transitioning Grids

The type of planning that a transitioning grid needs to do is much more broader. We should be thinking about the supply, but we also need to simultaneously consider the demand. And so doing that all ahead of time and then using a competitive process to secure the goods is great. But I think de-risking the investment cycle by knowing exactly what we are going to need will be very important.
