How to Monitor a Radio Station's Output and Send Status Notifications

Lennox is a headless box that records 24 hours, seven days a week. It rotates the audio log every hour, saves the stream in m p three, four mat to a local drive. Can run a sink thing, client sink that drive to a server on the land for later retrieval. And will send status notifications when something goes wrong,. like a power outage, or on boot, for example, the disk gets full or fails. I know a lot of this can be done with f f m ag, but i'd like more guidance than that if possible.
