The Gift of Chastity
Aristotle says when something happens commonly, then that's something very important to look at. Friendships between unmarried men and women are always deeply intrinsically limited. There's no call or context for them to go into a deep life sharing. Chastity is a virtue not only of refraining from sexual misconduct but also putting the order of reason into our sexual desires.
