One out of every four patients who come into a sports medicine clinic are going to come in with some form of patellofemoral pain. Patellar instability is, I would say, a much, much less common clinical entity than patellofEmoral pain. And so it's important to be able to differentiate those two kind of clinical entities and treat them a little bit differently.
