How Quickly Can I Get Out of Here?

Shame isn't necessarily explicit in our teaching text this morning. It sits sort of underneath the story and it's part of the backstory because shame has a way of lingering and hiding in plain sight. God is the most gentle pit bull that you can ever imagine. And he finds the lingering parts of our old life that are filling us with shame and he heals them with his love.
