Gravitational waves, the detection of gravitational waves, we know that they exist because we were able to detect the crest of a gravitational wave passing through the earth. But what other scientists wanted to look at is through the course of the history of the universe, stuff like that must have been happening all the time. There's so many massive objects and so many opportunities for these waves to be generated shouldn't the whole universe be just constantly rippling?
