The long snapper doesn't play offence or defence. All he does is snap the ball on punts, field golls and extra points. An enfel team is only allowed to have forty eight players on its game day roster. Is that really is the task so difficult, the position so specialized, that it's worth a roster spot for just that handful of plays? We've done it as a league for at least 15 years.
