I didn't expect the openness to like innovation and the acceptance of taking a risk and failing. Like failure isn't really accepted back in Egypt, right? You don't want to fail. But you get to MIT and it's okay to start things. And if they don't work out, like it's okay, you pivot to another idea. That kind of thinking was just very new to me. I was liberating.
