The Power of the Carthaginians

The Carthaginian forces were this multinational force, kind of like the UN of the ancient world. It consisted of citizen soldiers who were only obliged to serve in situations of emergency and usually for home defense when Carthage itself was in trouble. But that said, even though you were dealing with forces from multiple countries that all spoke different languages, these forces provided a certain degree of versatility on the battlefield. All it required was a really good general to really fully utilize that capacity. And once fully utilized, that force was dynamite.
