Recent polling data from Gallup and Pew Research Center indicates that a shifting landscape in American identity is afoot. An increasing number of Americans report declining extreme national pride ahead of the forthcoming elections. A record high 25% of 40 year olds in the United States have never been married an increase of 6% in 1980. This trend points to young people delaying marriage and having fewer children leading to potential challenges for political campaigns centered on traditional family values.
