Pregatia's Recovery to Racing
Pregatia was attacking on day one to win bonus seconds at the top of the mountaintop finish, seven K from the finish line. Those are not behaviors of someone who's trying to manage his efforts across a three week tour. So it could be the recovery, but it could actually just be that he spends too much of his budget when he shouldn't. And then he pays money to that in his racing tactics. Maybe his recovery is perfect, but he's just doing too much. But I don't know that he's incapable of recovery. He just doesn't have the necessary physiology to match what was thrown at him for 14, 15 days and hold that ability.
