When you look at where Ruth fits into the broader message of the scriptures, he's one who cares for those who can't hear for themselves. So this is exemplary of how God deals with us as his people. I mean, my mind cannot help but make the leap to exactly what Christ does for us. He reaches out to us. He feeds us. He serves us.
