Extinction Rebellion was set up by three people, and they were initially very successful at bringing in new people to sort of activism. They brought in a kind of new, more kind of professionalised class, middle-class people who felt passionate about this issue but hadn't necessarily taken part in protest before. I think they did a very clever job of making it seem fun and normal to protest against climate change. And then they sort of squandered it basically by alienating people. The sort of iconic moment was when they interrupted a train, a London train. It stopped people getting to work via a seemingly clean form of public transport.
