The Importance of Non-Violence
Jesus' commands are to spark what New Testament scholar Richard Hayes from Duke University, what he calls moral imagination. They are creative ways to respond to social injustice but without using violence. And as we'll see next week, Jesus has way more in mind than don't kill people. He actually wants you to love your enemy and if you don't like that idea, do not listen to Jesus of Nazareth because he has a lot to say about it.
