The Importance of Listening

Jeffrey Eugenides' new book, "The Song of Songs," is published by Simon & Schuster. The poet says he listens to what words are telling him and where they're leading him. He believes that inside the words there's meaning that's much deeper than any one word or letter can tell us. His work has been inspired by both religious texts and more secular sources.
