Social influence can impact things like beliefs or opinions, or even just daily behavior. You see it often on facebook, with a lot of this misinformation about covet. The more you are seeing what your friends are thinking, the more likely you will maybe change your own beliefs based on your friends. And we see this in education as well. There've been papers looking at to what extent am i exposed to different instructional strategies through my social network and then how does that impact changes to my own instruction?
