The One-Sided Network Effects in E-Commerce Platforms

The one-sided network effect is just straightforward, like the telephone network or your family and your friends being on Facebook. And then for me, the simplest example of two-sided network effects that I always teach with is just to think about Uber. If there's a whole lot of the writers don't really care how many other writers there are,. There are the care of how many drivers there are, and the drivers care how many writers there are. So you need to get more drivers to get more writers, more writers to get more Drivers. But with different groups, buyers and sellers, this coordination problem may actually be more problematic.
