I think it's a combination of both. Cause i started behind the counter as a part timer. And the best advice that was ever given to me was, insert yourself. No one is going to send you an invitation. So if i knew that i was going to be someone somewhere, that there's someone i wanted to be noticed by, i inserted myself. I introduced myself.
