The Early Materialization of Democratc Institutions in North America

Researchers from the university of cambridge have conducted isotopic analysis of two thousand sets of skeletal remains. And their findings suggest that people in mediaeval britain really weren't eating very much meat. At the same time, we have food lists from royal feasts dating back to the same period and those lists show lots of meat being served. So the basic conclusion here is that those lists are for feasts that were really occasions, and not just regular occurrences.
