When you're just, when you submit all parts of the soul to reason, not only do you get the highest pleasures, the pleasures of reason, philosophy, stuff like that, you also do a better job. You satisfy your appetites in a reasonable way, so you avoid the tyrant spiral and in the end wind up getting more pleasure than you would if you pursued it directly.
