The Future of mRNA Technology in Africa
The idea behind those mRNA vaccines is that they carry the genetic code for large complicated viral proteins. Once you've got let's say some kind of mRNA sequence that would work against a disease how quickly could you turn around a vaccine at that point? It would be approximately three to five years because you would need to do extensive clinical studies. We are very hopeful as you saw with the conference this week it's very upbeat there's a lot of positiveness in terms of establishing mRNA technology in Africa and South Africa.
